The Faculty of Information Technologies

"He who owns information, owns the world", Sir Winston Churchill allegedly said, as if heralding the creed of the Faculty of Information Technologies at IGUMO. The name of our faculty has become an inherent part of the name of the Institute – the Institute for the Humanities and Information Technologies. Economic development of Russia requires the introduction of new methods in management, efficient combination of traditional control schemes and modern approaches to management based on automatic performance which is achieved among other things by improving the quality of informational support and development of computer systems.

Graduates of the Faculty of Information Technologies get a diploma which gives a young specialist an opportunity to work as a programmer, an analyst, an innovation and information technology project manager, an innovation management executive. These professions are in great demand at the labour market. Graduates of the faculty can work in leading IT-companies and banks just after leaving college while seniors fairly often create exclusive software.
