The topic united for a discussion the students of the Journalism Department, Foreign Languages Department, and the faculty of the institute and the representatives of the Rector's office. The international status was given to that event because of the participation of the students fr om Warsaw University with their teacher Associate Professor Marta Malahovich.
The topic of discussion was The Role of a Person in History. At the beginning of the discussion the participants applied to classical Literature in which like in a mirror the whole epochs were reflected. The participants quoted the great authors – L.N. Tolstoy, F.M. Dostoevsky and A.S. Pushkin.
Presented were not only the quotations of the great authors and thinkers because it is hard to underestimate and impossible to deny the role of the person. No wonder that during that discussion such names as Stalin, Mahatma Handi, Mother Teresa, Hitler, Nietzsche were mentioned. The great leaders and the great villains, citizens of the world and those who can be called the conscience of the planet are interwoven very closely.
The position of the power (the dark side of the human’s nature) no matter what we say has its charm. The evolution of the human being and the achievements of the civilized world hide it deep inside. But as History shows it can be easily drawn. Wh ere do the moral criteria disappear? For example, the theory of superman led to a total destruction of the entire peoples.
The maturity of the opinions of the young generation gladdened – the students of The Institute for the Humanities and IT and of a friendly Warsaw University. The connections between them exist for a long time. It is not for the first time that IGUMO greets the students of the main university in Poland who study Russian. The references are always most rapturous.
The process of exchange is two-way. The students of IGUMO also have an opportunity to study in Warsaw University for a semester.
By the way during the previous discussion the Polish students got to know the students of IGUMO who are going to study in Warsaw in the nearest future – in October.
