On September, 1st, 2011, each student and IGUMO staff representative could see merry sunspots on the facade of the Institute for the Humanities and IT. That was implemented by the initiative team of the IGUMO Department of Design to bring us some happiness.
However, there was also a figurative meaning in it. The sunspots have a round shape and circle symbolizes continuity, perfection, love and knowledge. Dante associated circle with intelligence and will. Pythagoras considered circle to be the heart of the universe.
All in all, in the very first day of the 2011-2012 academic year IGUMO looked festive.
Each IGUMO Department organized a welcome meeting for their students. The atmosphere was friendly and informal.
The 1st of September, 2011 was indeed a festive day! This academic year is the 20th one in the history of the Institute for the Humanities and IT. Our institute is young but we have organized a high-level educational process. Ultimate Responsibility in Education is the mission of IGUMO for a long time.
