On September 1, the Institute for the Humanities and Information Technologies (IGUMO) celebrated the coming of a new academic year. Traditionally, the ceremony began with a solemn lineup.

Marina Volynkina, Rector of IGUMO, Irina Belogortseva, Deputy Rector for Learning and Teaching, deans, and curators of faculties congratulated the students on Knowledge Day in Russia.
IGUMO students Aleksandra Dyoma, Anna Baydalina, Anastasia Marusina, and Anastasia Nikulina also greeted the first-years.
They recalled their first day at IGUMO and promised the students that they would feel absolutely comfortable in this educational space in a couple of days.
They also invited the newcomers to participate in the Institute’s projects and not be afraid to take the initiative. That is the only way to gain valuable experience, form a portfolio, and find like-minders.
During the Dean’s hour, the first-year students got acquainted with one another and received their student ID cards. Deans and curators explained how the classes are held, what projects are awaiting the students, and what professional disciplines they will master during the first year of their studies.
We congratulate all the students on the coming of the new academic year. We wish them to stay interested in knowledge and profession!
