The IGUMO Foreign Languages Department’ main challenge is to develop socio cultural competence of the students. Demo classes, quizzes, thematic parties with drama performances about the history, traditions and culture of the countries of the languages under study are organized with the view of it. February 9, 2011 was celebrated as the Irish Culture, Traditions and Customs Day by our language students.
