DESCRIPTION
The Eurasian Women’s Community is a permanent project open to everyone wishing.
It is carried out within the preparation for the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum commissioned by the Working Group of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
Under the guidance of academic and pedagogic staff of the Institute, students conduct studies on activities of women’s social organisations in Russian and abroad. The acquired data are further used to work out communication projects with the following goals:
- to create an all-Russian platform for fulfilment of women’s social, business, and creative activities;
- to attract the attention of the public and media to the activities of women’s organisations;
- to make media focus on forming a positive image of a woman.
Participants of the project created the news agency of the Eurasian Women’s Forum, developed and launched the Eurasian Women’s Community information and educational website. At the web-portal, representatives of women’s organisations can create their own webpage and fill it with news, add events calendar, communicate with like-minders and journalists, and participate in educational webinars.
Branches of scientific and practical work on the project: journalism, linguistics, psychology, advertising and PR, design.
GOALS
Development of students’ skills in research work, project activities, teamwork, public speaking, operational news coverage, etc.
METHODS
Preparation and organisation of conferences, roundtables, presentation platforms, collection and analysis of information, brainstorming. Teamwork on preparation and fulfilment of internet projects. Preparation of articles for media, interaction with journalists.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Acquisition of professional skills in different fields of activity, enrichment of portfolios with projects of Russian and international levels; development of research, organisation, and communication competencies in the professional field, growth of experience in public speaking, teamwork, and other skills of project work.
In course of preparation and functioning of the website, students learn to interact and team up with professionals in different areas (designers, linguists, journalists), thus acquiring the experience of teamwork and creation of new generation web-portals.
