It’s no secret that our Institute is always full of exciting events and projects. This time, on the 22nd of October, we had a Health Day outdoors!
Even the rector admitted it hadn’t been quite easy for her to wake up on Saturday morning after a working week, but there was nothing left to sleep on the central square of Izmailovsky park, sunlit and full of music. The event gathered lots of students, professors of the Institute and even some bystanders.
To begin with, all the participants made a circle and greeted each other. Marina Vladimirovna announced the day’s program, full of different activities to suit everyone: yoga, sport dance, jogging, archery and rope skipping. And one didn’t have to choose among them!
Good to notice, that the professors of IGUMO also did take part in the event. For example, Tatiana Lvovna Dyment made an open-air yoga class, where you could balance body and soul. All the other professors were active participants during the other energetic activities, accompanied by music, which made dancing even the passers-by of all genders and ages.
Don’t forget that our students are very creative and despite the physical exercises we had a “photo-shredding”. The students of different faculties hung their photos, made in their free-time for everyone to vote for the best; the 3 winners got their mugs with the IGUMO logotype.
It’s clear, that after such a success of the day it was decided to make it a regular event. The Day helped to unite IGUMO people to reveal their best. After the event everyone was ready for the further working week and productive weekends.
