Nowadays we all know such a thing as teambuilding. Some time ago such terms were used only in sport but soon they also became current in corporative culture. Thus, being one of the most effective methods of uniting a collective, teambuilding is actively used in huge organizations, including the IGUMO. What’s more, in our institute it works not on employees only, but mostly our students. While working on realizing their projects, they constantly contact with one another and become one big team. This process includes such an instrument of teambuilding as joint events. For example, a bowling tournament.
Last week, one of Moscow clubs held bowling games between the faculties. The list of participants included not only our students, but their teachers and deans too.
Bowling united the players and provided a wonderful opportunity for the IGUMO students and employees to get to know each other better, gain skills of joint working, and also improve team spirit. All of this is going to develop efficiency of the studies and work on our institute’s projects.
We asked the players to share their opinions about the game right after the end of the tournament.
‘Bowling is a splendid opportunity to spend some time with one’s colleagues, get to know them better, and have fun together outside the university. Besides, it's the best chance to get acquainted with the students from other faculties’.
Irina Azarova, student, the faculty of Journalism
‘I’m very glad that my colleagues and I got to meet one another outside the IGUMO. We got to know one another better. Some people turned out to be great leaders, some worked as strategists. The most important part is that we became a team. It was also fun to observe our teachers. Joint play helped us understand one another better. We had a great time, got some energy, and had a lot of fun’.
Nina Samotoina, student, Faculty of Advertising and PR
The bowling tournament has come to an end and later we are going to find out the results of the competition between the faculties. Soon we are going to have as much as entertaining sport events: a ping-pong tournament and outdoor yoga.
