Students took part in an international conference
IGUMO students took part in the international students’ conference titled Youth in a Changing Society organised by the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences. The Lithuanian university is the partner of IGUMO starting this academic year.
The international conference took place at the Faculty of Business Management of the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences on December 11-12.
One of the sections of the scientific event took place in Moscow at IGUMO under the name ‘Social Problems of Russia’s Youth’.
In their reports, IGUMO students revealed such relevant topics as social trends of communication and significance of a foreign language in the modern society. The students also told about their volunteering activities using participation in IGUMO projects as an example.
The speakers paid special attention to the topic of international communication and projects aimed at establishment of horizontal communication among different countries.
The students’ speeches in English were also recorded as videos and presented to the participants of the conference in Vilnius.
The dialogue between Russian and Lithuanian students demonstrated the readiness of today’s youth to cooperate and create in the context of the rapidly changing world.
Collaboration between IGUMO and representatives of the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences will be continued. The conference has shown the seriousness of intentions of both universities in developing their dialogue.
Collection books with students’ works in Russian, English, and Lithuanian will be published in the follow-up to the bilateral conference.
