Soon comes the seventieth anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Russia and India. Our students from the Faculty of Linguistics together with D. Jeysundhar, director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center, created a contest related to interesting facts about India. They published it on the Global Talents web-portal. The organizers decided that the winners of the intellectual competition would get an invitation to the Embassy where our talented children, as well as the IGUMO team, were on March, 7.
At the Embassy of India they were welcomed by D. Jeysundhar. In the first part of the event the authors of the best contest works got diplomas and gifts from D. Jeysundhar and Marina Volynkina, rector of the IGUMO and head of the Global Talents project. After that there was a concert prepared by the school students. However, the performance included not only school students, but also the IGUMO students. What’s more, Yulia Shimolina, Dariya Mayorova, and Olga Lomuhina, second-year students from the faculty of Journalism, filmed a news video about the awarding ceremony for the ‘IGUMO.TV’. This event became a perfect opportunity for our students to practice their professional skills: they took several interviews from the children, talked to Ekaterina Kudryavtseva, head of the Patrium school’s press service, and also wrote stand-ups for their video.
Besides, our media group guided by Pavel Ivanov and Alexander Safronov, his assistant and our second-year student from the Faculty of Photography, attended the awarding ceremony at the Embassy of India. This time Alexander was the one to make photo chronicle of the event.
Every one of our students has a unique feature. They are able to work as a team and participate in real projects. Such events promote their self-realization and help them dive into their profession.
