STUDENTS CONTRIBUTED TO PREPARATIONS FOR SECOND EURASIAN WOMEN’S FORUM
The Second Eurasian Women’s Forum was an impressive global event. It had over 1500 delegates from 110 countries. Women politicians, managers, entrepreneurs, and artists came to St. Petersburg to exchange their experience and inspire one another.
The IGUMO participated in creating the Forum. Our news agency Eurasian Women’s Community was the Forum’s official media.
Our ‘starship troopers’ worked as hard as possible at the Forum. We had dozens of interviews, made thousands of photos and hundreds of new contacts. Marina Volynkina, our rector, organized and moderated the most active platform of the Forum. It was an open discussion about the role of media in forming a modern shape of women’s leadership. One can learn more about the event on our main website.
STUDENTS FROM FACULTY OF ADVERTISING AND PR ALSO CONTRIBUTED TO FORUM
During their practice they worked with articles for the ‘From Forum to Forum’ collection. Their aim was to show what kind of actions in women’s interests were made in Russia since the first Forum.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Development, Health, Agriculture, and Economic Affairs, the development institutes and international organizations as International Labour Organization presented their information for our collection.
Our task was to find the most important things in various sources. We accomplished this goal! We want to thank our mentors for their help, personally Roman Kozlov, dean of the Faculty of Advertising and PR. He was the compiling editor of the book.
We presented the most interesting data in an infographic format made by Anastasia Orlova, art-director of the Agency for Relevant Communication and our graduate from the Faculty of Design.
She designed the layout of the whole collection, presented the Global Talents project on the Forum’s platform, and got an award.
The ‘From Forum to Forum’ collection was published in two languages, Russian and English. Our students from the Faculty of Linguistics were the ones to translate it. Every delegate at the Eurasian Women’s Forum got our book. It means that the results of our students’ and lecturers’ work went to 110 countries!
