The anniversary year of collaboration between IGUMO and the Embassy of the Czech Republic started with meeting with Ms. Michaela Jeřábková.
During the visit of the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, participants of the meeting discussed the ways to expand collaboration and the ideas of the new creative project participated by students of the Faculties of Design and Photography.
Michaela Jeřábková’s visit coincided with the viewing of artworks by the Faculty of Design. The lecturers gave the guest a tour of the exhibition and told her about the student’s artistic tasks and methods to address them.
The impressions of the pictures have grown into the idea of a joint project: creation of a series of illustrations and photographs dedicated to Czech culture.
The project will make it possible for IGUMO students to immerse into the history and culture of the Czech Republic. They will present their artistic rethinking of the Czech national identity.
The Embassy will exhibit the best artworks and recommend them for participation in Czech festivals.
IGUMO representative and Michaela Jeřábková discussed a new series of contests at Global Talents website. The contests will celebrate the 5th anniversary of collaboration between the Czech Embassy and the Faculty of Linguistics of IGUMO.
Five intellectual competitions have already been coordinated with the Embassy. The Global Talents website will soon publish them. The contests’ winners together with students will be invited to the traditional meeting at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in autumn 2020.
IGUMO expands the scale of its international affairs. The students have an increasing number of opportunities for inter-culture communication and participation in international projects.
