IGUMO HELD SERIES OF GUEST LECTURES ON WEB-MARKETING
Today every company has a marketing department in order to sell its qualified product. Such a skill is very useful for every specialist, especially those whose profession relates to art. That is why our students from the Faculties of Journalism, Design, and Photography attended a series of guest lectures. They were held by Valentin Kuznetsov and Vasily Surin, experts in web-marketing.
Valentin Kuznetsov works with marketing agencies of Moscow, maintains business contacts with partners, and holds lectures about commercial Yandex services.
Vasily Surin is a co-founder of the SalesArt agency, a co-founder in Speech Analytics, a Yandex expert in advertising products, and a lecturer in Skill Factory School.
Valentin Kuznetsov explained the basics of web-marketing and spoke about its kinds. He considered media formats to be the most effective ones nowadays. He also paid much attention to methods of analytics and introduced Yandex services to our students.
In turn, Vasily Surin mentioned that the students from other faculties can also work in the web-marketing sphere. For example, students from the Faculty of Journalism can write articles and students from the Faculty of Design can be the ones to create web-sites in order to sell a particular product. Vasily also suggested reading useful books in order to improve oneself.
‘Don’t waste your time! It flies fast. The only thing that you’ll have in the end is your experience’, the speaker said.
We asked several students to share their opinions about the meeting with us.
Elmira Mustafaeva, third-year student, the Faculty of Journalism:
‘When I was at school, I already knew that I wanted to work in Yandex someday. Even though I knew the basics of web-marketing, that lecture was very entertaining. I was impressed by Vasily Surin’s speech because he mostly spoke about life, dreams and time that shouldn't be wasted. It was useful for students from all faculties. I enjoyed that meeting so much that I wanted to have an internship in Yandex.’
Sukhrob Sharipov, third-year student, the Faculty of Journalism:
‘The most wonderful thing was that the speakers gave examples from their own experience. It helped me recognize my mistakes and realize my goals.’
In two weeks we are going to have one more lecture held by Vasily Surin.
