Language education specialising in the field of art

Knowing foreign languages opens a wide range of development prospects to professionals in Russia and abroad. To have an opportunity to promote their artworks in the international arena and exhibit them abroad, the graduates of the Faculties of Design and Photography of IGUMO must know several languages. That is why we open the admission of students to the French language course specialising in the field of art for all those wishing.

IGUMO already has a similar English language course. You can contact the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Linguistics or Admissions Office for more information.

The Institute’s administration negotiates with five international higher education institutions on student exchange programmes and the opportunity for IGUMO graduates to undergo ‘Design’, ‘Art and Human Sciences’, ‘Linguistics’, and ‘Advertising and PR’ Master’s programmes in France, Germany, or the Czech Republic.

IGUMO hosts an increasing number of lectures and workshops by international speakers including photographers, artists, architects, and advertising specialists.

The French language course starts this month. Sergey Yastrebilov, an interpreter and lecturer who studied and lived in France for more than 15 years, will teach it. He has Master’s degrees from two French universities: Sorbonne University and INALCO.

The course will help IGUMO students effectively start learning French and reach the level allowing to study it on their own.

The French language course is aimed at those who want to take the first step in mastering French and is interested in France and its culture. It represents the best fit for students who plan to continue their education in French universities.

Sergey Yastrebilov will explain the structure of the French education system and requirements for entering French universities.

You can contact Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Linguistics or Admissions Office to enroll in the course.
