The demo version of the Days of Contemporary Art (DOCA) festival will take place on October 24-25, 2020. The event will be a preview for a full-scale festival in 2021.
The annual festival has become a landmark event for students, famous artists, young authors, and all connoisseurs of contemporary art.
This year, the festival’s topic is Not Now Yet. The DOCA’s venue will become a space for the rendering of the future. This process makes it possible to see part of the project and make necessary changes at the phase of creating it.
The curators invite you to the future today and design its multiple development concepts.
The demo of DOCA will present works by IGUMO students of the Faculties of Design and Photography alongside those by Russian and international contemporary artists.
This year’s participants include Olya Kroytor, an artist, and Varenye Organizm, a group of artists.
In addition to exhibition-focused part, DOCA will present workshops and open lectures.
The registration for the free intensive course by modern artist Ilya Fedotov-Fyodorov is already open.
Participants will try on the evolution mechanism of animal survival in conditions of global disasters of the future. Each round will be a challenge and each team will have to find a solution determining the future of the ecosystem.
